Black Scholar Academy™ is a leadership and legacy hub for Black undergraduates who are ready to grow, serve, and succeed. Our curriculum is grounded in the Explore – Lead – Succeed® framework, giving you space to discover who you are, practice how you lead, and prepare for what comes next.

At BSA™, becoming a Living Legacy™ means leading your life in a way that creates impact right now, not someday, not after graduation, but in the choices you make, the communities you uplift, and the clarity you build about who you are becoming. A Living Legacy™ is an individual who understands their identity, honors their story, and uses their gifts to shape a future that reflects both purpose and possibility.

Every scholar’s story matters here. Whether you’re just finding your footing, stepping into leadership, or getting ready to launch into your career, you’ll find a pathway that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with intention, confidence, and a legacy mindset that transforms your college experience and beyond.

Explore–Lead–Succeed® Pathway Overview & Outcomes:

The  Explore – Lead – Succeed®  pathway is a 12-week leadership journey, with each phase lasting four weeks. Students can complete the full experience or engage in individual phases based on their goals, schedule, and readiness, allowing the pathway to meet them exactly where they are.

By the end of the 12-week journey, students walk away with a stronger sense of identity, a clear understanding of their strengths, and practical tools to lead with confidence in both academic and real-world settings. Scholars complete the program with a personalized leadership blueprint, an expanded peer network, a deepened commitment to community impact, and the clarity needed to navigate college with purpose. Most importantly, they leave knowing who they are, what they bring, and how to move forward as a Living Legacy™ in their campus, community, and career journey.

Black Scholar Academy™ prepares students to become the next wave of becoming a Living Legacy™, who later enter Black Legacy Society™ as adults committed to purpose, culture, and community impact. 

Community Engagement: Lead With Impact Where You Live: 

Whether you join from a dorm in New York, a city in California, or somewhere in between, leadership is not limited by geography. At BSA™, you’ll engage through:

• Virtual Leadership Labs: connect with peers and mentors across the country
• Local Scholar-Led Contributions:  serve in your own community, then reflect on what you’ve learned
• Optional Regional Meet-Ups: when available, gather with your cohort for real-world leadership and networking. This flexible model ensures every scholar can lead, serve, and belong regardless of location.

Student Financial Access:  

We believe that talent is universal but access is not. That’s why there is no cost to students for participation in the core  Explore – Lead – Succeed® curriculum. BSA™ is fully supported by grants, scholarships, and sponsorships, so you can focus on leading, not paying. 

How the Framework Works: 

Our curriculum is built on three flexible pathways. Each phase can stand alone, and students may enter at any point where their needs and goals align. You do not have to complete all three phases to participate, but each one deepens your growth as a scholar and leader.
